שחרוריתא

שַׁחְרוּרִיתָאch. sam(שחרורית blackness, ugliness). B. Kam.20b משום ש׳ דאשייתא because the walls get black (when people live in the house). B. Mets. 117b משום דאיכא ש׳ (Ms. H. שְׁחַרְתָּא דאשיתא; differ. in Ms. M., v. שְׁחַר II) because there is a claim in the case for the blackening of the walls.
